“As soon as we acquired the building, we knew we wanted to do something different,” Emily explains. “At our sister site, Creeksea Place Barns, we’d been welcoming large groups since 2010, and we noticed how often guests would plan a special activity to bring everyone together. That sparked the idea for The Clockwork Hotel. We wanted to surprise our guests at every turn, make them laugh, and weave a sense of theatre into their celebrations. Most of all, we loved the idea of offering everything under one roof, so organisers could plan a truly memorable experience with ease.”
The Clockwork Hotel is part of a family of unique hospitality businesses owned and run by the Wilsdons and their dedicated team. Just outside Burnham-on-Crouch, their farm is home to Creeksea Place Barns self-catering accommodation, The Canary Shed wedding venue, The Parlour Café, Saltmarsh Spa & Fitness, and 75 acres of vineyard leading to the coastal footpath. Guests can relax in the spa, celebrate a wedding, enjoy a retreat, or join one of the farm’s vibrant annual events, such as the Midsummer Music Festival or Woof Fest dog charity day.
